About Caring Dads
Caring Dad’s program helps fathers improve their relationship with their children
and end controlling, abusive and neglectful behaviors. Fathers will understand how different fathering strategies and choices effect children. Fathers will also learn strategies to strengthen the father and child relationship.
Caring Dads exists to change current practice to better include fathers in efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of their children. Continue reading below to understand our approach to gender-based violence and child maltreatment.

The OWHN-COPES Caring Dads program is offered in English and Spanish.
Duration
Caring Dads program is designed to be a minimum of 17 weeks. The Caring Dads program allows a unique opportunity for men to connect as fathers. Caring Dads includes active group discussions, exercises and homework.

Curriculum
OWHN-COPES utilizes the Caring Dad’s program. There are three components to the Caring Dads program:
a) a seventeen week manualized group intervention program for men;
b) systematic outreach to children’s mothers; and
c) coordinated case management to ensure that child safety and well-being is enhanced as a result of father’s involvement in intervention.

All payments for services are due at the time that services are rendered.​
